Key Passage: Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Message:
Forgiveness is not easy. When we’ve been hurt, betrayed, or misunderstood, the last thing we want to do is let go. But Scripture calls us to a higher standard—not just to forgive, but to do so as Christ forgave us.
Jesus forgave us freely, fully, and unconditionally. He didn’t wait for us to earn it. In the same way, we are to extend that grace to others—not because they deserve it, but because we have been forgiven.
Forgiveness is freedom. It frees us from bitterness and invites healing. It doesn’t excuse wrongdoing but releases the hold it has over our hearts. Choose the way of Christ—choose forgiveness.
Application:
Is there someone you need to forgive today? Begin by praying for them. Forgiveness may not happen overnight, but taking the first step is powerful.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for forgiving me. Help me to release those who have hurt me. Give me a heart like Yours—full of mercy and grace. Amen.
