God’s Daily Delivery

Title: New Mercies Every Morning
Key Passage: Lamentations 3:22-23 – “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Message:
This incredible declaration of hope comes from one of the darkest books in the Bible. The prophet Jeremiah is lamenting the destruction of Jerusalem, surrounded by ruin, suffering, and despair. In the midst of this profound grief, he calls to mind a truth so powerful it changes his entire outlook. It’s not his own strength or circumstances that give him hope, but the unchanging character of God.

He realizes that the only reason they have survived at all is because of God’s “great love.” But it’s the next line that offers such profound daily comfort: “his mercies never come to an end.” Mercy is God not giving us the punishment we deserve. Every single day, God’s mercy account is not just replenished; it is made completely new. Yesterday’s failures, sins, and shortcomings are covered. Today is a fresh start, not because we earned it, but because His supply of mercy is infinite.

This promise means that no matter how badly you failed yesterday, you do not wake up to a deficit of God’s grace. You wake up to a fresh, full, custom-made delivery of mercy waiting for you. This is the evidence of His incredible faithfulness. His faithfulness is not a feeling; it is an action, demonstrated in the new mercies He provides for us each and every day.

Application:
When you wake up tomorrow morning, before you check your phone or think about your to-do list, take a moment to pause. Verbally thank God for the new mercies He has provided for this specific day. Acknowledge His faithfulness and receive the fresh start He offers.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you that because of your great love, I am not consumed. Thank you that your mercies are not based on my performance but on your character. I am so grateful that they are new every single morning. Today, I receive your fresh mercy for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Great is Your faithfulness. Amen.
