The Strength of Stillness

Key Passage: Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Message:
In a world that prizes hustle and constant activity, stillness can feel unnatural. But when the Israelites faced the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army closing in, God’s answer wasn’t action—it was stillness.

Stillness doesn’t mean passivity. It’s an act of radical trust that places the battle in God’s hands. It says, “I don’t have to solve everything—God is my defender.”

Learning to rest in Him, especially in moments of crisis, creates space for God’s glory to shine. His strength becomes evident when we stop striving.

Application:
Take a moment today to sit in silence before God. Let go of striving and allow Him to calm your heart.

Prayer:
Father, help me to be still in Your presence. I trust You to fight for me. Teach me to rest in Your strength. Amen.
